Incredible Music.
It's an injustice to only hear some music. Some music needs to be experienced.
The following is a list of the best groups I've come across. Buy thier cds and you won't be disapointed.
Artist: Pop Will Eat Itself
Genre: Industrial, Pop, Punk, Funk, Weird, Madness
My Favourite Album: Dos Dedos Mis Amigos
This English punk turned industrial pop group may be one of the largest influences on pop music today. It's not fair to classify PWEI as pop music though. They really don't fall under any classification. Lyrics range from intensely provocative to hilarious. The music is built around samples, guitars, and cool electronics. Their music is almost impossible to find now and most everything is out of print but anything by them is well worth the money.
Artist: X-Dream
Genre: Goa Trance
My Favourite Album: Radio
X-Dream puts out the best goa trance I've ever heard. Their shit is just crazy! Their music has so many layers you can listen to a song a thousand times and still find something new in it each time.
Artist: Apoptygma Berzerk
Genre: EBM
My Favourite Album: 7
This EBM group from Norway has put out several releases and none of them have fallen short of amazing. Their music is all electronically driven, highly danceable, has a ton of layering, and great lyrics. Most of the songs are about love. Stephan Groth is a genius.
Artist: Prick
Genre: Industrial, Experimental, Divine Inspiration?
My Favourite Album: Self Titled
Prick's music is as good as Prick is mysterious. Kevin McMahon surfaces every now and again under different names like Lucky Pierre and Prick. His music covers a vast range of styles often in a single song. Prick has a way of creating a powerful, emotional build up and then he smashes it, along with the listener, to pieces. Lyrics cover love, life, disapointment, sex, and many other topics. Possibly the best album to ever come out of Nothing Records.
